On September 6, 2007, Alex was found dead in his room. Dr. Irene Pepperberg placed him in his room the night before and he was perfectly fine. His last words before she left him were:
"You be good. See you tomorrow. I love you."
Now here's the huge twist. Alex is a parrot.
