I love preparing for missions conference because you stay up late for productive reasons. I also realized a couple things about the people I was with.- Indonesian girls are insane.
- Indonesian girls are really insane.
- Indonesian Christians suffer a lot even though Christianity is not illegal in Indonesia.
There was also a serene moment in one of the Global Awareness rooms. It was set up to be like a brothel and it was really creepy. The lighting was all red and there were shady mattresses and condom packets everywhere. They did a really good job. As I was sitting there looking at a mattress with a red lamp and creepy atmosphere, the people were playing Christian music on the speakers. I heard the lyrics, "You're beautiful, you're beautiful," and I was just strangely moved by the scene. Even in the darkest creepiest places, God dominates and tells us despite whatever it is that the world tells us, "You're beautiful." I just thought it was cool.
Man, I had a lot of fun today. Thanks to Christy and Roselyn. I HOPE I'M SPELLING HER NAME CORRECTLY! But they were fun to be around. God is good.
