Exam: A Film I Watched with UCLA People

Last night, I had a fantastic time. I went to UCLA and we ate Zankou which was good. Then we went over to someone's apartment and watched Exam. The film was a pleasant surprise because I had never heard of it and it turned out to be a pretty entertaining film. But what distinguished this movie night from every other movie night was that they had an informal forum and we actually discussed the film. Most of the people gave some sort of input or other and I actually enjoyed the conversation.

Now I know, these UCLA folk sure know how to watch a movie. Props.

March 17, 2011 - Daisy's Birthday

We had a makeshift Birthday Party for Daisy at Berry Cool.

It was...Berry Cool... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:

We ate at Pho House with Fefe who hails from New York.

They all wanted a photo with my glasses because they recognize.

Daisy did some things with her face that I did not know the human body was capable of doing.

Then we went to Berry Cool and played Bananagrams. Then afterwards, we started making words describing each other which led to Michelle's ingenious idea...

Game failed so we just decided to write our names out.

The Bananagram flavored Cake.

Cutting the cake.

Daisy's love affair with her cake.

Caked!

Study Session. Not really. But I don't mind.

Pasadena - March 11, 2011

So D.Money, Monica, and I went to Pasadena and this a bit of our adventure.

I also realized that pictures make things look so much more fun than real life.

So this is our story of the adventure we had in the exotic land of Pasadena:

Align Center
I did some before-trip mathematics inside the Biola Science Building.

Then we ate some junk sausages and junk bacon that tasted weird at the Biola cafeteria.

We saw the randomest castle in the middle of the city belonging to Mexican Druglord Don Cortez. He killed the previous Don who was Italian, Don Carzonni. It's a lie

Monica drank water from a fountain that had 42 health code violations.

When we reached Pasadena, we went to the playground because I wanted to be creepy and look at kids.

Monica Being Weird

Defacing Public Property

Then we jaywalked to a fire station where they had a beautiful antique fire truck with Gold Leafs and an even hotter fireman.

Super Hot Fireman

Then we went to a sweat shop/jean store. The cashier lady was REALLY pretty and she called us hip because we cuffed our pants. In the back, we met the 53 year old Guatemalan veteran of jean making.

D.Money and I ditched Monica to go into a place called the Workshop. I still don't know what that building was all about.

Who's Watching Who?
Then we walked around the city passing nerds waiting for I-pad2, the idol of Juicy Couture, the Pink Knight of Juicy Couture, my three ladies, and some security.

Me and My Three Ladies

Security came and reprimanded us for taking pictures in the store so D.Money sneakily took photos as a sign of rebellion against the capitalist dogma of no photo taking.

Then we went into a strange alleyway and saw many strange things. But I love alleyways.

"What is that?!"

"It's an alleyway!!!"

I realized how uncannily similar our facial expressions were.

Go, my dog. Eat all who stand in thine way.

Urban Bouldering much?

The we proceeded to Mignon Chocolate. No joke: when I ate one of their chocolates, my insides started t0 feel fuzzy in a good way. I highly recommend these Armenian chocolate makers who hail from Iran.

Then we went to Carmela's Creamery which had a bizarre assortment of flavors that just worked: Cucumbers, Strawberry Butterscotch, Brown Sugar Vanilla just to name a few. The cashier there was also really beautiful.

Then, later that night, completely unrelated to anything Pasadena, we had a fashion show at Target.

All in all, it was a pretty fun day. Peace out homies~!
