Fidelity

I started watching House M.D. I was watching an episode called Fidelity.

-Spoiler Alert-

It was about a husband and a wife and the wife was diagnosed with African Sleeping Sickness. This is a sickness you obtain when you either a) get stung by a mosquito in Africa, or b) have sexual relations with someone who might have it. So they check the husband and he doesn't have it which means that the wife had an affair outside of marriage. This enfuriated me. It just hit a button. What sucked even more was that the doctors and the wife expected the husband to forgive her and reconcile.

This made me think about how men are expected to live with the burden of the mistakes that women make. Why does a man have to live with the thought that his wife had sex with another man.

There is a quote that man said: "What she did, you can't love a person and do that to them." I was like, "YES! RAWR! LEAVE THAT UNFAITHFUL WOMAN!"

Then, at the moment that he was leaving, I came to a sad, sad realization. As I watched the scene where he was walking away with his back facing the camera, I realized that it would suck if that was God. I had a post like this a while ago about how God was a husband and we were unfaithful wives. Apparently I forgot about the post.

Man. We are pretty terrible. The amount of anger I felt toward the woman is how much anger I should have had for myself.

Man. The things I do, you can't love God and do that to Him. Right?

Luckily, God's love covers enough for the both of us. Thank you God. House is a decent show.

Oh man, heavy. But so good. Makes you think.

I should watch House, I'm actually a huge fan of Hugh Laurie.

But that's beside the point. Either way, you're right.

Dude, i was watching House M.D. too!
it's an amazing show. A bit drama but actually focuses on medical stuff. Much better than Grey's Anatomy.
